Nurses
For some appointments it may be more appropriate to see one of our nurses rather than a doctor. Sister Dawn Hughes, Sister Eleanor Davey, Sister Lucy Anning and our Nurse Associate Megan Pugh work closely with our GPs to support and treat our patients. At least one nurse is available at most times of the day by appointment and for telephone advice. They can help you with:

- Travel advice
- Family planning advice
- Smoking support
- Asthma management
- Diabetic control
- Minor injuries
- Removal of stitches
- Cervical smears
- Health checks: men and women
- Dressings

Healthcare Assistants
Our team also includes trained Health Care Assistants – Andrea, Emma and Sally. Our HCA team can help you with:
- Blood pressure checks
- NHS Health Checks
- Phlebotomy
- ECGs
- Some injections
- Removal of stitches/staples
