Incoming Call Volume – How You Can Help Us

We have been receiving an unprecedented number of incoming telephone calls which our reception team have been working incredibly hard to answer as quickly as possible. We are currently training additional resource to help with the additional demand as we are receiving lots of COVID-19 vaccine queries amongst other matters. There are various ways in which you can help us before picking up the phone:

COVID-19 Vaccine Enquiries – please read the BaNES, Swindon, Wiltshire (BSW) CCG’s website and Q&A Document

Repeat Prescriptions – we do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone. Please use the NHS App wherever possible as you can order 24-7 at a time convenient for you and then simply collect your medication from your nominated pharmacy. This method of ordering is the most efficient and saves us a great deal of time. Please allow us 48 working hours to process your request and your pharmacy time to then prepare your medication. If you have no internet access and cannot use the NHS App, please contact your pharmacy or drop off a hard copy request in our foyer. You can also post your request to us with a SAE.

Telephone Appointments – if you have a telephone appointment we are unable to guarantee a time when we will call. Please keep your phone handy and be aware the number will shown as No Caller ID or Number Withheld.
