The government has announced the launch of emergency alerts on mobile phones with the system due to be tested at 3pm on Sunday 23rd April. The test has been flagged as a possible risk for domestic abuse survivors, and others in vulnerable situations, who keep secret, lifeline phones for protection.
Refuse has released a video recommending that phones are turned off or set to airplane mode. Please see video below.
