Guide to Prescriptions

The quickest and easiest way of ordering prescriptions is via the NHS App. https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/

You may apply in writing (preferably using the computer printed counterfoil) or online. If you have not previously registered for online services please complete our registration form.

Please allow two working days for processing. Your signed prescription can be collected from the pharmacy of your choice. If you would like your script to be kept at reception please indicate this clearly.

Should you wish your prescription to be posted to you, please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Please note we do not accept prescription requests over the phone. This is to protect patients from potential error.

Pharmacies

The practice has links with several local pharmacies:

  • Bathampton Pharmacy, Holcombe Lane, Bathampton
  • Boots Pharmacy, London Road, Batheaston
  • Box Pharmacy, High Street, Box
  • Larkhall Pharmacy, St Saviour’s Road, Larkhall
  • Pharmacy2U (By phone, fax or online)

Please indicate the pharmacy of choice on your script.

There is always a pharmacy open in Bath on Sundays and Bank Holidays; usually 11:00 – 12:00 and 18:00 – 19:00.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, pharmacist, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
