Prescriptions

The quickest and easiest way of ordering prescriptions is via the NHS App.https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/

You may apply in writing (preferably using the computer printed counterfoil) or online. If you have not previously registered for online services please complete our registration form.

You can also request your medication via email: bswicb.bmc@nhs.net

If you, or someone you care for, uses the same medicines regularly you may be able to benefit from using the NHS Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD) service.

Using this means you won’t have to re-order or collect a repeat prescription from the Practice every time you need more medicine. Please see the links below for more information.

Please allow two working days for processing for any  other method than eRD. Your signed prescription can be collected from the pharmacy of your choice. If you would like your script to be kept at reception please indicate this clearly.

Should you wish your prescription to be posted to you, please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Please note we do not accept prescription requests over the phone. This is to protect patients from potential error.

Pharmacies

The practice has links with several local pharmacies:

  • Bathampton Pharmacy, Holcombe Lane, Bathampton
  • Boots Pharmacy, London Road, Batheaston
  • Box Pharmacy, High Street, Box
  • Larkhall Pharmacy, St Saviour’s Road, Larkhall
  • Pharmacy2U (By phone, fax or online)

Please indicate the pharmacy of choice on your script.

There is always a pharmacy open in Bath on Sundays and Bank Holidays; usually 11:00 – 12:00 and 18:00 – 19:00.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, pharmacist, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Medication Queries

If you have a query regarding your repeat medication you can email the reception team: bswicb.bmc@nhs.net,or speak with the reception team who may book you an appointment with a pharmacist or GP.
